Dornie is a charming village and offers fun things to do on your doorstep. If you’re here, make sure you visit Eilean Donan Castle. The famous landmark offers a great morning out for all ages and is steeped in history and incredible scenery.

We’re a 15 minute drive from The Skye Bridge, making it the perfect place to explore both the mainland and The Misty Isle. The Dornie is also close to the Wester Ross leg of the popular NC500 route. 

Experienced Munro Baggers and novice climbers alike flock to this area to take advantage of our idyllic hills. We’re well located for travellers looking to climb The 5 Sisters of Kintail.

If you come to the area and you want to take home some unique and tasteful souvenirs of your trip – we recommend Home in The Highlands. With 2 boutiques, one in Balmacara Square and the other in Portree, it’s the best place to find presents for others or treats for yourself. A treasure trove of fashion, homewares and lovely gifts. 

If you’re a seafood fan, we recommend the immersive and authentic experience of a Seafood Cruise. Neil is an experienced local fisherman and a fantastic guide. Enjoy a 2 and a half hour trip around the sparkling waters of Lochalsh. Sail around Plockton eating exceptional local seafood including fresh langoustines, crab and scallops cooked onboard.
